Blackberry Fig Sage PopsicleHere’s another popsicle.

I was thrilled to pull 30 sage leaves from the huge summertime bundle that I bought, in order to steep a sweet honey syrup, for the “Blackberry Fig Sage Popsicles,” by Snixy Kitchen. Sage smells warm and green and comforting. Sage makes you happy and satisfied. Sage syrup is wonderful.

Hulking blackberries have been demanding my acknowledgement, however tart they may be. After mixing them in my blender with the sage syrup, lemon juice, coconut water, and some sage leaves, they still had a bit of texture.

And how about putting 12 whole figs in my blender! I got 12 green-skinned beauties and pureed. The combined fruitiness of this popsicle was just fruity enough, just sweet enough. The texture, rather than being too icy, reminded me of all the fruit in there. All good.

Don’t fear the figs, I say. This is a fabulous pop.

Stand by for more summertime pop-ups soon.
