Strawberry-Mango PaletasRight now, the trendy popsicle is called a “paleta.” It’s all fruit and it’s all good. I made the “Strawberry- Mango Paletas,” from the May 2017 issue of Food & Wine, when I saw the enticing ingredient combo.

First, enjoy the intoxicating scent as fresh strawberries simmer in a bit of sugar and water. Once cooled, I blended them along with chopped mangoes, rather than troubling myself with the “layering” (I’m over that). I knew I’d be very happy about a single dark orange color.

Once frozen, how do these taste? Meaty mango is tart, thanks to the lime juice. Eat this popsicle quickly, before it melts.
