Who’da thunk it? I mean, home-baked white bread as a soft, buttery, sweet, wonderful treat. The “Simple Amish White Bread,” from The Slow Roasted Italian, was indeed “simple.”

I halved this recipe in order to make a single loaf. This included less than 3 cups of bread flour and 1/3 cup of sugar. Indeed, my ball of blended dough was “tacky (not sticky).”

I melted my butter as needed on the stove top, rather than in a microwave.

My loaf baked for 32:30, until “golden brown.”

This sublime loaf of bread makes me want to adjust my lifestyle, to bake this bread every week, to eat this white bread every day. It’s adorable and it’s mine.

Next time, I’ll bake some more cookies. How about the “Soft & Chewy Cardamom Spice Cookies” from Cook Nourish Bliss. Come back to my site next week, to enjoy these with me.
