Crushing cookies in a blender with melted butter is quite rewarding. Such is an Oreo Cheesecake, where you get to press that dark Oreo sand in the bottom of a springform pan (use the bottom of a glass to press evenly and efficiently).

Rather than “creaming” the batter by hand, I whipped everything in the mixer. (Make sure your cream cheese has been softening in your mixer all morning.)

I baked for 60 minutes. No cracks in my cake.

Now, taste. Not to sound like a commercial, but the flavor of Oreos always brings happiness. We want more and more. Biting into a chilled cheesecake is a decadent, delicious, creamy event. So easy, here, and so wonderful.

Come back to my site next week, when I’ll post my special cake of the month.
